Jim Sarallo
Board Member IACP
Jim Sarallo is senior vice president of the Americas Group for Motorola's Government & Enterprise Mobility Solutions business, headquartered in Schaumburg, Ill. In this role, Sarallo manages a diverse communications solutions business that includes systems, products and services. Sarallo is responsible for setting strategic direction and for growing the business profitably. He oversees the management of both direct and indirect sales distribution channels; a product and systems delivery and integration organization; and a service and system-management customer care organization.
The Americas Group is the leading provider of the infrastructure and subscriber products and related services used in private two-way radio systems and solutions in the U.S. and Canada. The major products include conventional, trunked and secure radio systems that are designed to meet the voice and data communication needs of private-systems customers. The portfolio also includes public safety software and computer dispatch systems and a complete line of data offerings: wide-area data systems, broadband mesh networks, rugged laptops, data applications and devices. Major market segments include commercial and industrial, as well as federal, state and local government. The Americas Group is a leader in interoperable communications technology for mission-critical and Homeland Security applications.
Sarallo has been with Motorola for more than 40 years. He began his career in the communications division, advancing through the organization to increasingly higher levels of management responsibility. Previously, Sarallo led the Aftermarket Products, Parts and Outsourcing organization, in addition to the Worldwide Private Systems Product Division.
Sarallo also serves in various industry positions allowing him to share his experience and support some very worthy causes. These include: International Association of Chiefs of Police Foundation Board, National Law Enforcement Museum Advisory Committee, and the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation Leadership Cabinet.
